We are looking for competent operational compliance and risk personnel who will be responsible for monitoring operational performance, carry out periodic review, assessment, and evaluation of risk issues to ensure that operational and business activities comply with regulatory guidelines, operational policies, and procedures in order to prevent loss of assets, regulatory sanctions, and other business risks.
Duties / Responsibilities
Identify potential problems before they occur and develop a plan to address them.
Monitor compliance against policies and procedures, advise supervisor of areas of non-compliance and identify the root cause of this and appropriate corrective actions.
Develop metrics to monitor operational risk exposure and progress towards goals.
Work with business units to develop and implement mitigation plans for identified risks.
Identify potential operational risk exposures, evaluating potential losses from those exposures, and develop mitigation strategies for high-risk situations.
Monitor the performance of operational risk management controls through regular audits and assessments.
Develop, communicate, and enforce operational risk policies and procedures.
Assist with the integration of risk management, ethical and integrity considerations into decision making, planning, monitoring, evaluation, reporting and contingency activities.
Develop, implement, and maintain an operational risk management framework that is aligned with the organization’s business strategy.
Monitor and report on compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as external regulations.
Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in operational risk management.
Requirements
Good University Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Economics or Transport Management.
Must have at least 2 - 3 years experience in Port/Terminal Operations, Risk Management, Finance, Audit & Compliance.
Basic computer skill like emailing, and knowledge of Microsoft suite (Team, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good inter-personal skills with professional demeanour.
Good track record
Flexibility and the capacity to prioritize new task.
Good attention to details.

Knowledge of Microsoft office Suite
