Role Summary:

As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a crucial role in the surgical team, providing patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and sterile operating room environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by providing sterile instruments and supplies.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with anesthesia administration as needed.
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgical procedure to prevent infection.
• Provide post-operative care and monitor patients' recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
• Document patient information and communicate effectively with the surgical team.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Nursing.
• Valid nursing license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
• Proven experience working as an Operating Room Nurse.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and sterile technique.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment.
