Nursing Manager - Enugu at Sigma Consult

Salary Range: N300,000.00 (post-probationary salary can go up to N800,000.00 depending on skill and experience level)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Manager to lead our dynamic nursing team in a hospital setting. The Nursing Manager will provide leadership, strategic oversight, and direct nursing care services to ensure high-quality patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of modern nursing practices, and a commitment to excellence in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, manage, and oversee nursing teams to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to nursing staff to foster professional development and adherence to best practices.
• Set clear goals and expectations for nursing staff, promoting a high-performance culture.
• Manage performance appraisals, supporting merit-based compensation and promotion systems.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and organizational standards.
• Oversee the implementation of modern nursing procedures, driving innovation and efficiency.
• Monitor patient outcomes and implement improvements as necessary.
• Manage nursing budgets and resources to optimize department operations.
• Foster a positive work environment and facilitate team-building activities.
• Maintain accurate records and reports on nursing staff and patient care.

Qualifications/Experience:

• 10 - 15 years of post-qualification experience in a hospital setting.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior nursing leadership position.
• Valid practicing nursing license.
• Valid certifications in BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS.
• Strong IT skills with proficiency in MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
• Experience using Health Management Systems.
