Job Description

• The successful candidate will be responsible for managing nursing operations, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading a team of nursing professionals in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, supervision, and mentorship to the nursing team.
• Develop and enforce nursing protocols, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate nursing activities with physicians, administrative teams, and other healthcare professionals.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing staff performance; oversee training and continuous development.
• Manage staff scheduling to ensure adequate coverage and operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations, NMCN standards, and hospital policies.
• Address patient complaints and clinical issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Oversee documentation, patient records, and ensure data confidentiality.
• Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for nursing services.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with a valid Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) practicing license.
• Minimum of 10 years of nursing experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.

Mandatory Certifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field is an added advantage.
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in hospital management systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to patient-centered care.
