Nursery Class Assistant at Prime Montessori School

Description

• We are seeking a caring, attentive Nursery Class Assistant to support the lead teacher in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children.
• The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in supervising and caring for children in the nursery classroom
• Support daily routines including feeding, toileting/diapering, and nap times
• Help implement age-appropriate learning activities and Montessori materials
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment
• Monitor children’s wellbeing and promptly report any concerns to the lead teacher
• Assist with classroom setup, cleanup, and preparation of materials
• Support children’s emotional, social, and physical development
• Communicate positively and professionally with parents/guardians as needed
• Follow all school health, safety, and hygiene protocols

Requirements

• Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE)
• Prior experience working with young children (nursery, crèche, or childcare setting)
• Genuine love for and patience with children
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
• Basic hygiene and safety awareness
• Physically able to keep up with active toddlers/young children throughout the day
