Description 

• Assess / Triage patients before, during and after the procedure.
• Educate patients on the procedure.
• Prepare patients for every procedure.
• Interpret all request forms.
• Cannulate and inject contrast media to the patient.
• Monitor patient on oxygen and those who are critically ill.
• Book patients for procedures accordingly.
• Preparation of procedure rooms before the commencement of the day’s work.
• Ensuring infection control at all times.
• Ensure patient safety throughout the procedures.
• Chaperoning of procedures.
• Carry out ECG, spirometry during the off-peak period and outside the facility.
• Collection of blood sample when necessary.
• Call patients for post-procedure feedback.
• Requisition, proper utilization, and documentation of consumables.
• Write patient care policies, design flow sheets or patient instruction sheets and care plan.
• Provision of quality Nursing care to every patient at all times.
• Supervise and monitor the activities of the patient handlers.
• Ensuring Interprofessional collaboration among other health teams like Doctors, Radiographers, Physiologist etc.
• Proper report writing and handing over at the end of every shift.

Requirements

• B.Sc. Degree in Nursing
• 1-3 years experience as Diagnostic Nurse
• Attention to detail and skill in proper patient identification
• Time management
