Nitrogen Purging Supervisor II at Scruples Resources

Job Purpose

• To supervise nitrogen purging, inerting and associated activities on process systems, pipelines, vessels and equipment in accordance with approved procedures and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise nitrogen purging and inerting activities.
• Review approved purging procedures and work plans.
• Verify equipment, hoses, manifolds, valves and connections before operation.
• Monitor nitrogen pressure, flow and system conditions.
• Coordinate nitrogen supply and equipment.
• Ensure correct isolation of systems before purging.
• Monitor oxygen levels and atmospheric conditions where required.
• Coordinate gas testing and safety controls.
• Maintain communication with operations, maintenance and HSE teams.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and respiratory protection where required.
• Monitor work during continuous/24-hour operations.
• Maintain shift logs and operational records.
• Report abnormal conditions, leaks or safety incidents.
• Ensure compliance with PTW, JSA/JHA and emergency procedures.

Requirements

• Technical qualification in Mechanical, Process, Operations or related discipline.
• Relevant nitrogen purging/inerting experience.
• Candidates must have at least 7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Experience in oil & gas/process facilities.
• Understanding of pressure systems, isolation and gas testing.
• Strong knowledge of HSE requirements.
• Ability to supervise shift/24-hour operations.
