Network Support Analyst at Fadac Resources

Our client is a leading trading company based in Nigeria that specializes in the exportation of high-quality cocoa beans and cashew. Due to expansion, they are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Analyst.

The Network Support Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, and performance of the company\'s network infrastructure and will collaborate closely with the other IT team members to deliver reliable network services and support business operations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems, including issues with internet access, Wi-Fi, VPN, network devices, and cloud services. Provide technical assistance to end-users.
• Perform essential network administration tasks, such as user account management, password resets, installing and configuring network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points), and managing network security tools.
• Proactively monitor network performance, identify potential bottlenecks or issues, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and reliability. Analyze network traffic and performance metrics.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs. Assist with security audits and vulnerability assessments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of network configurations, troubleshooting steps, security procedures, and user interactions.
• Assist with the procurement, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software. Manage software updates and patches.
• Work closely with other IT team members to resolve escalated issues and ensure seamless IT service delivery. Communicate effectively with users regarding network issues and resolutions.
• Interact with network vendors to troubleshoot issues, request support, and manage maintenance contracts.
• Contribute to network-related projects, such as implementing new network technologies or upgrading existing infrastructure.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CCNA) are highly preferred.    
• ISC2 CC or CompTIA Security + are a plus
• 2-5 years of experience in network support and administration.
• Experience managing network infrastructure in a cloud-based environment (Microsoft 365, Azure, or similar).
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, Wi-Fi access points).
• Strong understand of Network security principles, OSI Model, Zero Trust and Defense in Depth.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Azure) and related cloud services.
