Network Engineer at Arravo Global Services

Job Description

• We are looking for a network engineer who will be designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks. 
• You will also be responsible for maintaining and supporting our growing network infrastructure by being part of a system engineering team that is responsible for designing scalable, maintainable, highly available network architectures that meet business objectives and SLAs. 

Responsibilities

• Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
• Installing, configuring and supporting network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP.
• Configuring firewalls, routing and switching to maximise network efficiency and security.
• Maximising network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging scheduled upgrades
• Investigating faults in the network
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
• Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS)
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.
• Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
• Monitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planning.
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
• Select and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company’s security team.
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. 

Qualifications / Requirements

• A minimum of B.Sc / HND in Computer Engineering/Science with not less than 3 years working experience in relevant field.
• Proven hands-on network engineering experience
• CCNP or higher (CCIE and/or CISSP highly valued).
