Network Control Group Manager at DHL

Job Purpose

The NCG Manager is responsible for driving and ensuring real-time visibility and reporting for scheduled Network and Commercial flights operating in and out of Nigeria.

The LOS Hub Network Control Manager is responsible and accountable for managing the optimisation of the DHL and Air Transport Network to ensure that service levels are always maintained efficiently.

Principal Accountabilities

• Ensure that the LOS Hub Network Control Group is provided with clear direction and that performance standards are agreed and achieved.
• Act as the primary interface between the SSA NOC and the Country NCG Department on all network control issues and ensuring that all stakeholders at the Lagos Hub receive timely, accurate and qualitative updates and feedback regarding the network.
• Lead and drive the achievement of on-time network performance through effective monitoring and follow up on relevant Network Performance Reports to ensure that all agreed KPI targets are achieved.
• To select, develop and motivate the LOS Hub NCG Team and ensure that the right people are delivering the required level of performance.
• Monitor and manage the usage and allocation of Unit Load Device (ULD) stock levels to ensure that the required and agreed stock levels are maintained at the Lagos Hub and prevent any service disruption as a result of imbalance in the allocation.
• Manage and distribute accurate/timely flight network related updates and information to stakeholders within the Hub to ensure that related parties at the Hub are adequately abreast of developments that may impact on service delivery.
• Effectively follow-up and manage defined performance targets for the Hub to ensure that service excellence is achieved and formulate action plans to ensure continuous improvement.
• Performance Evaluation process for direct reports and provide regular feedback to the NCG Teams to drive performance across board
• Set challenging Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for the LOS Network Control Group to measure operational performance.

Job Details

• First Degree / HND in any discipline with
• 5 years experience in DHL or Air Express industry
• In depth knowledge of DHL Air network and operations
