.NET Backend Lead at 247Bet

The Role

• We're seeking a .NET Backend Lead to build and lead the development of our core backend services. You'll work closely with our engineering leadership to deliver production-ready systems that handle real-time betting operations, payments, and high-volume transactions. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll spend significant time coding while also guiding and mentoring a growing team of backend engineers.

What You'll Do

• Lead a team of backend engineers in building scalable .NET services
• Design and implement APIs for betting operations, user management, and payment processing
• Build real-time systems for odds updates, bet placement, and settlement
• Integrate with third-party payment providers and ensure transaction reliability
• Write clean, maintainable code following established best practices and standards
• Conduct thorough code reviews and mentor junior/mid-level engineers
• Collaborate with frontend and mobile teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Work with DevOps on AWS deployments, monitoring, and system optimization
• Participate in technical planning and sprint execution
• Contribute to engineering culture and process improvements

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core)
• Experience leading or mentoring a team of engineers
• Strong track record building and shipping production systems
• Solid understanding of microservices architecture and RESTful API design
• Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and ORMs (Entity Framework)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Highly Valued:

• Experience in fintech, payments, or gaming/betting platforms
• Knowledge of message queues (RabbitMQ, SQS) and caching (Redis)
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with event-driven architectures
• Understanding of security best practices for financial applications
• Background at fast-paced startups or tech companies
