    National Single Window (NSW) Training Assistant – Nigeria

    The Training Assistant will support the Lead Trainer in delivering training on the National Single Window (NSW) to various stakeholders. The role involves assisting in the preparation, coordination, and execution of training sessions for stakeholders, including customs officials, private sector operators, and government agencies. The ideal candidate should have strong organizational skills, a basic understanding of trade facilitation, and the ability to assist in training delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in organizing and setting up training sessions (physical, virtual, or hybrid).
    • Coordinate invitations, registrations, and confirmations of training participants.
    • Support training material preparation, printing, and digital distribution.
    • Handle training logistics such as venue arrangements, equipment setup, and refreshment coordination.
    • Provide on-site or virtual support during training sessions (e.g., attendance tracking, note-taking, technical support).
    • Assist with training evaluations, feedback collection, and reporting.
    • Maintain a training calendar and documentation.
    • Support lead trainers and subject matter experts with presentation tools and participant engagement.
    • Help ensure all training records are complete and up to date.
    • Perform other administrative duties as required by the training team.

    Professional Experience

    • At least 2 years of experience in training delivery or related quality assurance roles.
    • Practical experience in Customs, Trade Facilitation, Logistics, or the Government sector preferred.
    • Experience working with MDAs, private sector stakeholders, and multi-agency environments.

    Technical and Training Skills

    • Basic understanding of customs and cross-border trade procedures.
    • Proficiency in digital training delivery tools (LMS, webinars, virtual classrooms).
    • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Ability to develop clear training materials from technical content.
    • Competent in data reporting and training effectiveness evaluation.

    Soft Skills

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong organisational and planning skills.
    • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
    • Cultural sensitivity and adaptability across different stakeholder groups.

    Other Requirements

    • Flexibility and willingness to travel across Nigeria.
    • High professional integrity and commitment to capacity development.
