    National Sales Manager

    Brief Description:

    • The National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading team of professionals who are involved in the sales and marketing activities of the company.
    • They recruit new distributors, track market development, create strategies, improves product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalizing on market opportunities, set up sales plans and maintain customer relationship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Recruit new distributors and penetrate key markets in the South-South, South-East and South-West Market and increase visibility across other regions
    • Develop sales and distribution policies that reflects the organization’s goals
    • Outline objectives in key target areas such as sales volume, market share, distribution channels and profit margins
    • Plan, direct and implement sales strategies and programs and identify roadmap that will lead to achievement of the business goals
    • Conduct regular market visits to check route coverage, competitor activities and continuously search for new opportunities in order to increase sales across all regions
    • Coordinate and follow up with storehouse supervisor to ensure adequate inventory stock of product is maintained across all region in order to meet sales delivery schedules and provide the distributors with superior levels of services and meets customers’ needs
    • Develop a comprehensive sales and distribution strategy to maximize sales opportunities
    • Building and maintaining relationships with existing distributors and customers by making regular visits, understanding their needs and anticipating new marketing opportunities
    • Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network to ensure the comprehensive availability of products and services across all regions in order to achieve and exceed sales target.
    • Provide distributors and customers about new or improved product and services
    • Establish and ensure that all sales administration procedures are properly implemented to support the sales team in achieving their targets
    • Liaise with marketing team to ensure adequate marketing support by way of merchandising and promotions is available across all regions in order to boost brand visibility
    • Develop necessary regional sales marketing organization structure and ensure the right staffing and appropriate training to meet all job requirement.
    • Provide input on sales incentives structure and recommend changes in pricing structures
    • Review sales performance by analyzing performance reports
    • Provide overall leadership over the sales department

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
    • Minimum of 7-12years experience of well- rounded marketing and business development experience in FMCG, Food/Beverages, Juice/Dairy Products with a focus on market expansion and identifying emerging market trends with a complete understanding of marketing channels, distribution system, supply chain and product handling
    • 3-5years leadership experience with the ability to motivate and provide professional development to a team of at least 3 direct reports and a hands-on collaborative style of work
    • Experience building brand awareness and thorough knowledge of marketing principles, brand and product service management, sales and business development along with demonstrated track record of success and performance
    • Ability to understand changing market dynamics, translating them into actionable strategies to actionable strategies to achieve company objectives. Experience in the Nigerian Food/Beverage distribution is highly desirable
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills
    • Strong negotiation, analytical, problem-solving and customer
