Role Description

• This full-time, on-site Mid-Level Biomedical Engineer role is based in Lagos. The position involves maintaining, calibrating, and repairing medical equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation. The biomedical engineer will support clinical teams by installing devices, performing routine inspections, and managing preventive maintenance schedules. Responsibilities include documenting service activities, troubleshooting equipment issues, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring compliance with relevant healthcare and safety standards. The role also requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and support continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with practical experience applying these principles in healthcare settings.
• Proficiency in Medical Equipment management, including installation, calibration, and technical troubleshooting.
• Hands-on skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, with the ability to develop and follow maintenance plans.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations, equipment safety standards, and quality assurance practices.
• Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the capacity to collaborate with clinical and technical staff.
• Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple service requests and priorities.
• Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical device environment is an advantage.
