We are recruiting for a client in the telecommunications sector looking to hire Microwave Transmission Engineers to design, deploy, and maintain high-frequency microwave transmission systems. The ideal candidates will have strong technical expertise in microwave link planning, interference mitigation, and equipment maintenance within Nigeria’s telecom infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Microwave System Design & Deployment – Plan, design, and optimize point-to-point/multipoint microwave networks (6-42GHz frequency).
Equipment Installation & Maintenance – Hands-on experience with Huawei, Unifi, Cambium, Ericsson, NEC microwave systems.
Interference & Performance Optimization – Perform path loss calculations, rain fade mitigation, and link troubleshooting for optimal network performance.
Compliance & Power Solutions – Ensure adherence to NCC frequency allocation regulations and manage backup power solutions (UPS/generators) for unstable power conditions.
Technical Documentation – Prepare and maintain design proposals, network troubleshooting reports, and regulatory documentation.
Requirements: Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronic Information Engineering, or related fields (NUC-certified or equivalent).
Experience:
3+ years in microwave transmission engineering (experience with MTN, Airtel, or similar projects in Africa is preferred).
Working knowledge of wireless planning tools (Pathloss 5/6, Atoll) and simulation software (HFSS, CST).
Experience working in high-temperature, dusty, or unstable power supply environments.
Soft Skills:
Ability to work in multicultural teams and handle cross-cultural collaboration.
Willingness to travel frequently across major cities and remote areas
