Overview

• FMR Agency is recruiting a results-driven Merchant Acquisition Executive (POS Solutions) to drive merchant acquisition for a leading provider of POS and business management solutions.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, engaging, onboarding, and managing merchants across the Lagos Island axis, including Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, and Ajah.
• This role is ideal for a high-performing fintech sales professional with a proven track record in POS sales, merchant acquisition, and B2B business development.
• Candidates must have current or recent fintech sales experience and possess strong knowledge of the assigned territories.
• Ultimately, you will drive merchant acquisition, increase product adoption, and contribute directly to the company's revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and acquire new merchants across restaurants, lounges, bars, hotels, supermarkets, retail stores, and other businesses within the assigned territory.
• Promote and sell POS terminals and business management solutions to prospective merchants.
• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, highlighting key product features and business benefits.
• Manage the complete merchant onboarding process, including KYC documentation and account activation.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business owners and key decision-makers.
• Achieve assigned monthly merchant acquisition, activation, and revenue targets.
• Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline, and customer interactions using CRM tools or other reporting platforms.
• Provide post-onboarding support to ensure customer satisfaction, retention, and continuous product usage.
• Gather market intelligence and provide feedback on competitor activities, customer needs, and emerging business opportunities.

Requirements

• Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in any discipline.
• Minimum of 2–4 years' experience in merchant acquisition, POS sales, B2B sales, or business development within the fintech industry.
• Current or recent experience with a fintech company (e.g., Moniepoint, OPay, PalmPay, or similar) is mandatory.
• Proven experience selling POS terminals or business management solutions and onboarding merchants.
• Strong knowledge of the Lagos Island market, particularly Victoria Island, Ikoyi, Lekki, and Ajah. Existing merchant relationships within these locations will be a strong advantage.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools is an added advantage.
