    Medical Officer

    Job Summary

    • A Medical Officer (MO) with 2 years of experience who has worked in hospitals, clinics, or healthcare facilities, providing primary and secondary medical care.
    • Job Description - Private Clinic: More structured with specialized care.
    • A Medical Officer is responsible for diagnosing, treating, and managing patients, ensuring high standards of medical care. Would be working under senior doctors, specialists, while also mentoring nurses, and other staff members.

    Key Duties & Responsibilities
    Patient Care & Clinical Duties:

    • Diagnose and manage common illnesses and medical conditions.
    • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests (laboratory, imaging, etc.).
    • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
    • Refer complicated cases to specialists when necessary.

    Emergency & Critical Care – would be trained to:

    • Provide initial management in emergency cases (trauma, cardiac arrest, poisoning, etc.).
    • Perform life-saving interventions such as CPR, and fluid resuscitation.

    Outpatient & Preventive Medicine:

    • Run general outpatient clinics (diabetes, hypertension, infectious diseases, etc.).
    • Conduct health screenings, vaccinations, and counselling sessions.
    • Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, chronic disease management, and prevention strategies.

    Medical Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
    • Prepare medical reports for legal or insurance purposes.

    Administrative & Research Duties (Varies by Setting):

    • Participate in hospital management meetings and policy development.
    • Assist in research projects and clinical trials.
    • Ensure adherence to protocols and national health guidelines.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess a Bachelor's Degree in related fields with 2 - 3 years work experience.
