Role Summary:

As a Medical Laboratory Technician at our client's healthcare facility, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating diseases. You will work under the supervision of medical technologists or laboratory managers to ensure accurate and timely test results.

Responsibilities:

• Collect patient specimens, including blood, urine, and tissue samples, and prepare them for analysis.
• Perform laboratory tests and procedures, such as hematology, chemistry, microbiology, and immunology tests, using automated and manual techniques.
• Operate laboratory equipment and instruments, including microscopes, centrifuges, and analyzers, according to standard operating procedures.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot issues as needed, performing routine maintenance and calibration procedures.
• Record and interpret test results accurately, and report abnormal findings to healthcare providers in a timely manner.
• Follow laboratory safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Assist in quality control and quality assurance activities, including proficiency testing and documentation of test results.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Valid license or certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Proven experience working in a medical laboratory setting, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic laboratory.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, techniques, and instrumentation.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with healthcare professionals.
