Maintaining accurate, complete health care records and reports.
Monitoring, reporting, recording changes and escalating critical values in patient laboratory results.
Storing and setting up laboratory equipment
Collecting samples: Collecting blood, tissue, and other samples from patients
Preparing samples: Labelling and preparing samples for testing
Running tests: Performing routine tests and analyzing samples
Recording data: Recording test data and results in patients\' medical records
Operating equipment: Using and maintaining laboratory equipment, such as microscopes and cell counters
Reporting results: Discussing results and findings with physicians or supervisors
Ensuring quality control: Maintaining quality control of samples and adhering to laboratory standards
Testing for drug levels: Testing for drug levels in the blood
Contribute to the maintenance and cleanliness of the laboratory facilities and workspaces.
Assist with the development and validation of laboratory methods, procedures, and protocols.
Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and empathy in all interactions with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders, maintaining confidentiality and respecting patient rights and privacy.

Qualification
Bachelor\'s degree in medical laboratory science, Chemistry, clinical laboratory science, or a related field
0-2 years of industry/clinical experience
Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Technologist (MT)
Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques, procedures, and instrumentation used in clinical chemistry, haematology, microbiology, immunology, and other laboratory disciplines.
Good organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in laboratory information systems (LIS), electronic medical records (EMR), and other healthcare software applications
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Strong customer service skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail in specimen and sample handling
