Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and intelligent Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in clinical laboratory practice, demonstrating expertise in diagnostic testing, sample analysis, and laboratory equipment management. The role requires a smart, proactive individual with excellent problem-solving abilities and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic tests and laboratory analyses on patient samples, including blood, urine, and tissue specimens.
• Ensure accurate and timely results, adhering to established medical and laboratory protocols.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring they are calibrated and functioning properly.
• Analyze laboratory data and provide results to healthcare professionals for diagnosis and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with medical staff to discuss lab findings and assist in clinical decision-making.
• Maintain and update patient records, ensuring compliance with confidentiality standards and regulations.
• Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure the reliability of test results.
• Manage inventory of laboratory supplies, ensuring timely ordering and appropriate stock levels.
• Stay updated with advancements in laboratory technology and medical research.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in medical laboratory science (MLS) or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
• Valid license to practice as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Nigeria.
• Proficient in laboratory diagnostic procedures and equipment handling.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex laboratory results.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
• Must be proactive, smart, and quick to adapt to new technologies and practices.
