    Medical Lab Scientist

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare and analyze patient samples such as blood, semen, and tissue samples for fertility tests and procedures.
    • Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures, such as semen analysis, hormone assays, and embryology procedures.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results and laboratory procedures.
    • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and troubleshooting when necessary.
    • Follow strict laboratory protocols, quality control measures, and safety guidelines.
    • Assist with the preparation of samples and solutions for various fertility treatments, such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) and intrauterine insemination (IUI).
    • Collaborate with other members of the fertility team, including physicians, and nurses.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related field from an accredited program.
    • 0 - 1 year work experience.
    • Entry Level Position. Willing to be trained on the job.
    • MLSCN Registered
    • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and computer software for data entry and analysis.
    • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and patients.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Familiarity with fertility laboratory procedures and techniques is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions, as on-the-job training is provided.
