Role Summary:

As a Medical Equipment Technician at our client's healthcare facility, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing medical equipment and devices to ensure optimal performance and safety. You will work closely with clinical staff to address equipment issues promptly and minimize downtime to support patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Install, calibrate, and test medical equipment and devices according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and performance tests on medical equipment to identify and address potential issues proactively.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions and failures, and perform repairs and adjustments as needed to restore functionality.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs, and service history in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Provide training and technical support to clinical staff on the safe and effective use of medical equipment and devices.
• Coordinate with equipment vendors and service providers to facilitate repairs, replacements, and upgrades as necessary.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in medical technology and equipment to inform equipment procurement and maintenance strategies.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
• Proven experience working as a Medical Equipment Technician, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong technical skills in troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment and devices.
• Knowledge of medical equipment safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
