Job Summary

The Medical Director will provide clinical oversight and ensure regulatory compliance for all services offered at Health BalancePoint. This includes medical supervision for IV therapy administration, chronic condition care protocols, and overall clinical safety. The role is highly flexible and ideal for a physician who wants to work in a growing wellness space with part-time oversight and strategic input.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical protocols for all wellness and therapeutic services
• Review and approve IV therapy formulations and treatment plans
• Provide clinical standing orders and guidance to nursing team
• Serve as the primary signatory for medical documentation (HEFAMAA, NAFDAC, etc.)
• Offer consultation and escalation support when medically necessary
• Ensure alignment with Lagos state health regulations and ethical standards
• Participate in periodic clinical audits and staff training
• Advise on medication procurement and clinical supply selection
• Collaborate with the CEO and admin team on service innovation and expansion

Requirements

• Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS or MBChB)
• Fully licensed by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN)
• Minimum 5 years post-NYSC clinical experience
• Experience in internal medicine, primary care, or wellness preferred
• Previous role in a supervisory or advisory capacity is a plus
• Must be Lagos-based or available for occasional in-person oversight
• Strong knowledge of IV therapy, hypertension, or diabetes care is a bonus
• Comfortable collaborating with nurses and supporting mobile healthcare models
• Tech-savvy and open to electronic documentation systems
