Description

The Mechanical Vulcanizer will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of conveyor belts and related equipment in the plant. This role involves working with various types of rubber and synthetic materials to ensure that the integrity of conveyor systems is maintained. Key responsibilities include:

• Repair and maintain conveyor belts and other vulcanized products.
• Inspect belts for wear, damage, and other issues, and perform necessary repairs.
• Perform hot and cold vulcanization of conveyor belts to ensure optimal performance.
• Cut and prepare materials for vulcanization.
• Use tools and equipment necessary for vulcanization processes, ensuring safety and work standards are adhered to.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on vulcanizer equipment.
• Document report findings, repairs made, and any repairs needed for the future.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to address mechanical issues.
• Participate in training and safety meetings as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical vulcanization or related field.
• Technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficient in vulcanization techniques for rubber and synthetic materials.
• Strong understanding of conveyor systems and their maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with safety standards and protocols in maintenance operations.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
