Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment used in the production process. The role ensures that all machinery and mechanical systems operate efficiently to support continuous production at Vitafoam Nigeria Plc while adhering to safety, quality, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance and Repairs
• Perform routine preventive and corrective
• maintenance on production machines and mechanical systems.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out repairs to
• minimize equipment downtime.
• Identify root causes of mechanical failures and
• implement effective solutions.
• Work with engineers and supervisors to improve machine reliability.

Safety Compliance

• Follow all company safety procedures and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure machines operate according to safety standards and regulations.
• Work closely with production staff and engineers to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Provide technical support during production processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strictly for OND in Mechanical Engineering or related field only.
• Minimum of 5 years practical experience as a
• Mechanical Technician in a manufacturing environment (preferably foam or chemical manufacturing).
• Strong knowledge of industrial machinery, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
