• A mechanical fitter is responsible for constructing and assembling mechanical systems, which could be factory machines or piping that is used to transport the chemicals that are involved in manufacturing processes.
• He/she is usually found in an industrial unit and is primarily responsible for assembling structural forms.
• The mechanical fitter job description entails making both minor and major repairs on various gasoline and diesel-powered equipment, while also carrying out welding and repair.
• It also involves performing upgrading, fabrication of equipment and facilities, and other several related job duties.

Job Description:

• Working with the use of workshop equipment such as milling machines and lathes
• Setting up and adjusting machine tools and equipment
• Constructing and assembling mechanical systems
• Liaising with clients in job execution, if required
• Strictly adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures, including the use of the appropriate protective clothing
• Carrying out the construction of structural components according to the plan on blueprints
• Examining structural systems with attention to local and state building codes
• Overseeing structural systems and ensuring that they are maintained regularly.
