Mechanical Engineer at MEP Insights Ltd

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize HVAC systems to meet client and project requirements.
• Perform load calculations, airflow analysis, and system sizing using industry standard software.
• Select appropriate HVAC equipment, ductwork, and piping systems for various applications.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and  specifications using CAD software.
• Provides contract documents that meet required codes and quality assurance standards.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless system integration.
• Conduct site inspections, system testing, and troubleshooting to ensure performance and compliance with codes.
• Conduct other duties as assigned by the associate and senior project manager.
• Apply strong technical design skills to produce accurate and timely deliverables.
• Serves as a trainer and resource for more junior level staff.
• Handles design development and document preparation in written and computeraided design formats.
• Supports project requirements including proposals, options analysis narratives, engineering and capital cost estimates, drawing documentation, systems design and technical specifications.
• Stay updated on the latest HVAC technologies, regulations, and industry best practices.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in HVAC system design and implementation.
• Proficiency in HVAC design software (AutoCAD, Revit, HAP, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of ASHRAE standards, building codes, and energy regulations.
• Experience with load calculations, ductwork design, and equipment selection.
• Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or HVAC certification is a plus.
