Mechanical Engineer at Debour Nigeria Limited

Responsibilities:

• Prepare plans (shop drawing), detail, specified, and cost extended of MEP system.
• Project planning, supervision and implementation, Site supervision, technical reports and preparation of tender documents.
• Liaising with any consultants, sub-contractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce.
• Analyse mechanical problems and formulate solutions.
• Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.
• Proper installation, test-running, maintenance, and overall control of all activities related to mechanical equipment and facilities.
• Ensure project timeline is met and project stays within budget.
• Attend site meetings and other related mechanical services.
• Foster a cordial relationship with clients and consultants.
• Manage and ensure timely completion of construction works on site.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• A minimum of 15 years work experience in building services.
• HND/BSc in Mechanical Engineering; MSc is a plus.
• Proficient in the use of CAD and other design software.
• Excellent communication skills – written & verbal.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Good troubleshooting skills & attention to detail.
• Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems.
• Ensure designs meet legal guidelines and safety requirements.
