Mechanical Engineer at Contemporary Group Limited

Job Summary

• We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to oversee the mechanical aspects of our construction projects. 
• The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems, as well as ensuring that all mechanical work is completed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Conduct site visits to monitor progress and ensure that mechanical work is completed to the highest standards
• Collaborate with other engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure that mechanical systems are integrated with other building systems
• Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources
• Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the construction industry
• Professional certification (e.g. COREN, NSE) is an added advantage
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
• Excellent design, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel periodically to Lagos and other project sites.
