Conceptual Design and Innovation:

• Generate and develop new ideas for products and mechanical systems.
• Create innovative solutions to engineering problems.

Detailed Design and Analysis:

• Develop detailed designs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
• Perform engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs.
• Conduct stress analysis, thermal analysis, and other necessary engineering assessments.

Prototyping and Testing:

• Build and test prototypes to evaluate design performance.
• Modify designs based on prototype testing results and feedback.
• Work with testing equipment and methodologies to ensure prototypes meet required specifications.

Material Selection and Cost Analysis:

• Choose appropriate materials for products based on performance requirements, cost, and manufacturability.

Conduct cost analysis to ensure designs are economically viable.

• Documentation and Technical Reports:
  • Create and maintain detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and manuals.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate design concepts and progress to stakeholders.

Project Management:

• Manage design projects from concept through to production.
• Coordinate with other engineers, departments, and stakeholders to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Stay updated with advancements in technology and industry standards.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with other engineers, manufacturing teams, and suppliers.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide design solutions.

Product Lifecycle Management:

• Oversee the product development lifecycle from initial design through production and beyond.
• Implement design modifications and improvements based on feedback and evolving requirements.

Sustainability and Efficiency:

• Focus on designing products that are energy-efficient and sustainable.
• Consider environmental impact and strive for eco-friendly design solutions.

Quality Control and Assurance:

• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure products meet required standards.
• Address any issues or defects in designs promptly and effectively.

Requirements

• B.sc/M.sc in Mechanical Engineering with over 5 years of experience as a Design Engineer
