• Madonna Model Schools is seeking a passionate, competent and dedicated Mathematics Teacher to join its academic team.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality Mathematics instruction and helping students develop strong numerical, analytical, logical reasoning and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics lessons in line with the approved school curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, lesson notes, schemes of work, assignments and instructional materials.
• Teach Mathematics effectively across assigned classes.
• Assess, record and report students' academic progress.
• Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including WAEC, NECO and BECE.
• Identify students' strengths and learning needs and provide appropriate support.
• Use appropriate teaching methods and practical examples to simplify mathematical concepts.
• Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
• Encourage critical thinking, logical reasoning and problem-solving among students.
• Participate in staff meetings, examinations, training programmes and school activities.
• Collaborate with other teachers, parents and school management to support students' development.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the school management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc. / B.Ed.) in Mathematics, Mathematics Education or a related discipline.
• NCE holders with relevant teaching experience may be considered.
• PGDE, TRCN certification or other recognised teaching qualifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience in a reputable school.
• Experience teaching Mathematics at the Junior or Senior Secondary School level is preferred.
• Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, BECE or similar external examinations will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Mathematics.
• Excellent teaching and classroom management skills.
• Ability to simplify complex mathematical concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and inspire students.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to use digital tools and technology to enhance teaching and learning.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must demonstrate professionalism, integrity, discipline and commitment to teaching.
• Must have a passion for educating and mentoring young people.
• Must be punctual, reliable and responsible.
• Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to participate in school activities and programmes.
• Must be willing to work in Garki Area 3, Abuja.
