Mathematics Teacher at Eden Solutions and Resources

Location: Lugbe, Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality teaching, through planning engaging lessons to enable all pupils to make the best possible progress.
• The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and communicate this in an enthusiastic and imaginative way.
• In addition, they will be expected to contribute to the routine and extra-curricular life of the school, as well as that of the department.

Responsibilities

• Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
• Preparing and distributing learning material such as notes, assignments, and quizzes.
• Sourcing the resources and supplies needed for lessons.
• Ensuring that the classroom remains safe and conducive to learning.
• Grading assignments and quizzes in a timely manner.
• Invigilating quizzes and final examinations.
• Documenting and reporting on students' progress.
• Attending meetings with parents and staff.
• Provide challenge for every pupil and to encourage all pupils to achieve their potential in Mathematics.
• Develop pupils’ understanding and applications of Mathematics in its wider context.
• Make a contribution to and engage in extra-curricular Mathematics (e.g. Mathematics Society).

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education with a specialization in Mathematics, or equivalent.
• Must be a registered teacher with TRCN with at least 4 years proven experience as a Mathematics teacher.
• Organized, flexible disposition.
• Outstanding interpersonal skills.
• A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge and experience of Cambridge curriculum is an added advantage.

Salary
N40,000 - N50,000 Monthly.
