Material Management Officer at Vincintore Limited

Responsibilities

• Plans and manages the procurement of goods, services and commodities taking into account local economic and other conditions;
• Supervises the preparation of technical specifications and the bidding process and approves purchase requisitions and purchase orders in Oracle;
• Ensures optimal and rational use of materials, equipment/assets and logistics support, by proposing standardization where appropriate and provides support in the planning and preparation of the budget;
• Proposes the scope of services for establishing service/maintenance related contracts;
• Supervises the asset management activities as well as advises on establishment of life expectancies for various types of equipment, and appropriate storage and disposal;
• Oversees warehouse maintenance and inventory tracking;
• Manages the allocation, maintenance and repair of the Office's vehicle fleet; plans fuel disposal and vehicle records
• Ensures smooth and cost effective implementation of transfers of equipment/vehicles between the main office and the field offices;
• Supervises the maintenance of all the Office's premises: assigning work to contractors, as required, and monitoring performance

Requirements

• Degree in Material Management & related fields.
• 2 years experience in similar position.
