Massage Therapist at C & I Leasing Plc

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough consultations with clients to understand their specific needs, health conditions, and desired outcomes from the massage.
• Perform various types of massages, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, and others, based on the client's preferences and therapeutic needs.
• Modify massage techniques and pressure based on individual client requirements and feedback.
• Assess clients' soft tissue conditions, joint function, and muscle strength to determine the most appropriate massage techniques.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including treatment plans, progress notes, and any relevant health information.
• Ensure a clean and hygienic work environment, including sanitizing massage equipment, linens, and therapy rooms between clients.
• Educate clients on the benefits of regular massage therapy, as well as self-care practices to enhance the effectiveness of treatments.
• Stay informed about new massage techniques, industry trends, and advancements in the field through continuous education and training.
• Effectively communicate with clients to explain procedures, discuss treatment plans, and address any concerns or questions.
• Manage appointment schedules, handle payments, and contribute to marketing efforts to attract and retain clients.

Qualifications

• Completion of a certified massage therapy program from an accredited institution.
• State licensure or certification as required by regulatory authorities.
• 2 years relevant work experience.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt massage techniques to different client needs and conditions.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform massage therapy maneuvers.
• Lift and carry massage equipment, including massage tables and supplies.
• A massage therapist plays a crucial role in promoting the physical and mental well-being of clients, and their skills contribute to a holistic approach to healthcare and relaxation.
