Job Objectives

Managing Director/ Head, Technology

• Executive in charge of the Company, having overall oversight over all affairs of the Company on a day-to-day basis
• Responsible and accountable for the technology direction of the Company
• Has overall ownership for the development and delivery of application solutions and services to meet client needs
• Act as an advisor to the group with respect to new/ innovative IT application technologies, solutions and services

Job Responsibilities

• Considering Group priorities, establish strategic goals in conjunction with the Chief Technology Officer and translate these to objectives and performance measures for the organisation
• Accountable for organisation’s business strategy and execution
• Accountable for the business performance and growth of the organisation
• Liaise with the Manager, Business Relationship and Development to
• shape market opportunities and win new business
• Build alliances and partnerships with other organisations as may be required
• Manage the day-to-day operations of organisation
• Provide strategic leadership, clear direction and guidance to the organisational units within the organisation. These include Strategy
• and Architecture, Business Relationship and Development, Solution Delivery, Application Security, Service Delivery Management and Operations, and Supplier Management

Competence Requirements

• Knowledge of the local software development market and business practices

• Provide guidance for technology delivery and take responsibility for all services provided to clients
• Participate in strategic supplier / vendor contract negotiation as may be required
• Create a culture of performance and value in technology services
• Establish and provide personal sponsorship to transformative programmes and projects
• Shape the organisation in terms of structure, roles and
• responsibilities. Also get involved in recruiting staff into the organisation, while also retaining existing staff members
• Liaise with direct reports to determine services needed by clients and whether they can be developed in house or outsourced to leading service providers.

Specification/ Qualification
Educational Qualification                                 
Minimum of a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related areas

Professional Qualification  
Possession of the following certifications is recommended: AMA Certified Professional in Management, PMP, ITIL, TOGAF9, CGEIT. CISSP and related certifications
Desired Experience 

• Greater than 16 years of functional experience
• Minimum of 7 years of management experience
