Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer at a Reputable Islamic Finance and Investment Cooperative

Reports to: Board of Directors

We are seeking a seasoned and experienced Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead our team at the Al Tijarati Islamic Finance and Investment Cooperative. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills, with a strong understanding of Islamic finance and investment principles.The preferred candidate must have in-depth knowledge about islamic finance and investment and must have held a similar leadership role overseeing the implementation of islamic finance and investment solutions, creating products and services to enhance halal wealth creation, poverty eradication, rural trade promotion, cooperative systems management and leveraging technology to disrupt financial ecosystems.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization
• Develop and implement business plans and strategies to achieve organizational goals
• Manage and oversee the operations of the organization, including finance, investment, and risk management
• Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and industry partners
• Ensure compliance with Islamic finance and investment principles, as well as relevant laws and regulations

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Islamic finance and investment, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior management role
• Strong understanding of Islamic finance and investment principles
• Excellent leadership and management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as finance, accounting, or business administration
• Previous leadership role in a micro finance, thriving cooperative society and Islamic finance organization is a strong added advantage.
