Job Purpose

• Supervise the Field Verification Officers, Credit review team and Field Collection officers
• Responsible for smooth day to day running of the teams, ensure compliance and growth of the business leveraging on your experience and our standard operating procedures to help in identifying and eliminating potential default and red flags prior to the disbursement of a loan facility
• Provide Prompt, Efficient and detailed review of Merchant loans
• Make firsthand decision of either approving or recommending transaction for decline based on informed decision from information provided and report from field verification team.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide support to Field Verification officers during physical visit to potential borrowers and guarantors business and residential addresses to evaluate their books, inventory, and turnover.
• Physical verification visits to potential borrowers and guarantors where required
• Review and Supervise the underwriting of loan applications submitted by the merchants, physical verification review report by the field officers and other supporting documentations as applicable
• Proper understanding of the product and its conditions for effective review of loan applications.
• In-depth knowledge of credit risk and underwriting
• Monitor and supervise loan performance post disbursement to ensure funds are not diverted by following up with the merchants
• Supervise the field collections team for prompt and efficient physical visits to defaulting merchants for collections
• Prepare comprehensive and accurate reports on daily verification and underwriting activities
• Ensure that all verification, credit review and field collections are completed according to the standard operating procedures efficiently and within the specified time lines
• Identifying and eliminating potential default red flags.
• Perform all other functions as may be assigned by the supervisor.
