My client is one of the biggest petroleum downstream companies in Nigeria. The company has an opening for the role of a management accountant.

Experience: at least 1 year of experience as a management accountant.

Salary: #500,000 Net

Job Description:

We are looking for a sound and result-oriented Management Accountant that will work with our senior management in making key business decisions by analyzing and presenting key financial data in form of reports, developing, and implementing strategies to reduce businesses' operational costs and ensure business growth. S/he will be performing financial analysis, preparing financial forecasts, and advising senior management on strategic planning. S/he must be someone whose financial accounting and business management expertise translates into sustained business growth.

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyse financial information for internal use
• Support, monitor, and control budgeting and funding
• Conduct risk assessment and advise on ways to minimize risk
• Develop Monthly Finance report
• Monitoring auditing and taxation practices.
• Ensuring that financial management policies and procedures adhere to regulatory standards.
• Performing financial recordkeeping, as well as protecting sensitive and confidential information.
• Keeping informed of regulatory requirements and best practices in management accounting.
• Group Shared Cost analysis
• Make forecasts to assist business planning and decision-making
• Work with Finance Business Partners of all subsidiaries in ensuring the financial data is accurate and timely prepared
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Group Executive Director, Finance
• Evaluate the company’s performance using key data and preparing Monthly Performance report

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, or any similar fields
• Solid knowledge of basic and advanced accounting and financial principles and practices
• Excellent knowledge of cost accounting and reporting
• Professional certification in Accounting/ Finance will be preferred
• Working knowledge of financial/accounting software
• Strong Power-point Presentation skills is a must-have
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
