    Auto Mechanic

    Location: Sangotedo, Lagos
    Employment Type: Contract

    Job Description

    • The Auto mechanic at Buckler Automotive Systems will be charged with the responsibility of automotive maintenance, diagnosis, checks, servicing, inspection and analysing fault.
    • The mechanic will be responsible for the arrangement and scheduling of service time, proffering solution to automotive mechanical fault and ultimately satisfying customers in a professional manner.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Inspect vehicle engines and mechanical/electrical components for the purpose of diagnosis and fault analysis
    • Inspect internal systems and controls to validate vehicle’s operational status.
    • Use workshop equipment as designated to perform regular maintenance and repairs.
    • Listen to client/customer to learn more about vehicle history, potential problems, and possible service they want.
    • Repair or replace worn out parts and systems.
    • Advise or suggest possible way to manage repaired part for longevity purpose.
    • Deliver a satisfactory service that will impress customer.
    • Advise the purchasing unit on the best auto mechanical part to purchase.
    • Relate with customers in friendly way to ensure close connection to with company.
    • Always maintain a clean working environment.
    • Liaise with the workshop manager on the way forward to a persisting problem.
    • Provide manager with timelines and estimates for repairs/servicing.
    • Validate all checks made on vehicle to ensure orderliness has been attained.
    • Report the stages of each operation to the workshop manager for follow up purposes.
    • Ensure all equipment and machines are handled properly and are well stored.
    • Suggest initiatives that will promote the company’s business.
    • Manage time and resources in the best possible way.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an SSCE / GCE / NECO qualification with 3 - 5 years work experience.
