Maintenance Supervisor at Hamik Engineering

A maintenace Supervisor is a professional who is in charge of coordinating all the installation, maintenance, and repair work at buildings or large complexes.  They manage teams made up of workers who execute tasks according to their project requirements.  

Duties

Maintenance supervisors directs and organize all activities around buildings systems, equipment operations, safe production standards, and day-to-day functioning of the machines or tools critical to organisations.  His job typically includes planning and directing tasks for a particular shift as well as overseeing that work is completed in a timely and safe manner.  Maintenance supervisor must ensure that all occupational safety and Health (OSHAD) and other pertinent agency rules or government regulations are met.  He is typically part of middle management and work primarily with employees and technicians assigned to their shift.  They must lead and motivate their team and delegate task.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facilties priodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance
• Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
• Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
• Hire and supervise tradesmen during installations repairs or maintenance (electricians , plumbers etc)
• Inspect & maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.)
• Contribute to the development of maintenance budget and ensure complieance
• Montor inventory of materials and equipment
• Participate in coordination of projects (eg. enovations)
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
