Maintenance Manager at Handyware Industries Limited

Description

As a Maintenance manager, you will lead our maintenance department and manage all installation, repair, and upkeep operations of our company’s facilities. Your duties will include maintaining machinery, planning repair activities, and developing maintenance procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, upgrade, and ensure compliance with all mechanical fixed-time maintenance and planned maintenance tasks
• Respond quickly to all equipment breakdowns with the maintenance team to minimize stoppage time
• Lead and follow up on all mechanical and electrical failures that occurred in the assigned production line to find root cause & prevent re-occurrence
• Plan & execute mechanical as well as electrical improvements in the assigned production line and relevant services area of the plant to increase efficiencies/ improve safety standards
• Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify and resolve issues
• Check electrical and hydraulic systems of buildings to ensure functionality
• Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
• Allocate workload and supervise upkeep of staff
• Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary
• Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers
• Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities
• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
• Ensure health and safety policies are complied with

Requirements

• BSC/HND in any discipline HND/Bachelor's Electrical Electronics degree with 7 - 10 years of relevant experience in cube line FMCG
• Additional qualifications will be of added advantage
• Experience in Bouillon cube and seasoning Sacheting line
• Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
• Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
• Ability to keep track of and report on activity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities
