Maintenance Manager at 21Search Limited

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of Tetra Pak and Sidel production lines to ensure smooth, efficient, and cost-effective beverage manufacturing operations. This role requires strong expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment reliability, and compliance with industry safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement a preventive and predictive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment.
• Ensure minimum downtime of Tetra Pak and Sidel production lines through proactive maintenance.
• Plan and oversee major repairs, installations, and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, machine performance, and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure optimal performance of Tetra Pak filling machines, Sidel blow-molding and packaging lines, and other processing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and automation issues affecting production.
• Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production and quality teams to minimize disruptions and improve efficiency.
• Supervise, train, and develop the maintenance team, ensuring they have the required skills for efficient operations.
• Enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with occupational health regulations.
• Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement among maintenance staff.
• Manage spare parts stock to prevent downtime while optimizing inventory costs.
• Develop relationships with Tetra Pak, Sidel, and other equipment suppliers for timely support and spare parts procurement.
• Ensure availability of critical spare parts and consumables.
• Ensure all maintenance activities comply with NAFDAC, SON, OSHA, and GMP standards.
• Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols for maintenance activities.
• Conduct periodic audits and safety inspections of all production equipment.
• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, optimizing costs while maintaining efficiency.
• Reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs through effective asset management.
• Drive energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the plant.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in beverage manufacturing maintenance.
• Hands-on experience with Tetra Pak and Sidel production lines is a must.
• Strong knowledge of PLC systems, automation, and industrial maintenance best practices.
• Expertise in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills for complex machinery.
• Ability to lead and motivate technical teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent budgeting and cost-control skills for maintenance operations.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and food manufacturing standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
