Maintenance Engineer Plant (Elect) at Proten

Roles:

• Engineer – Plant (Electrical)
• Routine maintenance of plant electrical equipment
• Trouble shooting of problems.
• Guide for Technicians & Contractor Staffs
• Supervision of jobs

Responsibilities:

• Enhancement of equipment availability & reliability.
• Availability of Manpower for Plant Maintenance
• Monitoring of operational conditions of equipment, systems.
• Primary Analysis of Failures.
• Critical Spares & routine maintenance spares availability
• To ensure compliance of HSEF requirements
• Plant level responsible for audits.
• Supervision & guidance to Technicians
• Ensure all Audit (BSC, Insurance, IMS etc.) Compliance
• Training for skill development of Technicians.
• Routine jobs as per SOP, SMP & check sheets
• Compliance to work permit & electrical lock out permit procedure.
• Ensure to fulfill the requirements of Departmental KPI’s.
• Timely Implement and fulfill the reequipments of Departmental Action Plans.

 Functional Authorities:

• Competency evaluation of Technicians.
• Authorized to control shift maintenance employees & contract staff.
• Authorized to prepare shift schedules
• Recommendation of department requirements to day shift supervisor.
• Authorized to receive all types of work permits

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: BE / B.Tech (Electrical)
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience in large petrochemicals company

Job Knowledge:

• Knowledge of the Electrical Engineering.
• Special knowledge of working in Petrochemicals industries & its maintenance related working experience.
• Strong electrical engineering background.
• Knowledge of electrical equipment evaluation.
• Knowledge of Industrial Safety & electrical safety Standards.
• Knowledge of Engineering Standards and regulations
• Knowledge of engineering documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of VFD, UPS, Battery chargers, HV/MV/LV SWGR, Power & dist. Trans, static/ Microprocessor Protection relays
• Knowledge of electrical control circuit.

Job specific skills:

• Good in Writing and speaking English Language
• Basic IT skills such as ppt, spreadsheet, database, word processor
