    Magazine Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Manage the storage, handling, issuance, and receipt of explosives and detonators in compliance with local and international regulations.
    • Ensure strict adherence to safety, security, and environmental policies governing explosive materials.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records of explosives, ensuring stock levels are within operational requirements.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of the magazine to ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
    • Implement and enforce security measures to prevent unauthorized access, theft, or mishandling of explosives.
    • Coordinate with production, mining, and logistics teams to ensure timely distribution and replenishment of explosives.
    • Ensure proper labeling, segregation, and documentation of explosives for easy identification and tracking.
    • Train and supervise magazine personnel on safety protocols and best practices for handling explosives.
    • Liaise with regulatory authorities and participate in compliance audits, reporting any discrepancies or safety concerns.
    • Develop and implement emergency response procedures for explosive-related incidents.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of magazine infrastructure, including ventilation, lighting, and security features.
    • Generate reports on stock movements, usage trends, and compliance-related activities for management review.

    Requirements

    • Candidates should possess an HND or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field
    • 5 -10 years of experience in explosives handling or safety management, preferably in a manufacturing or mining environment.
    • Deep understanding of explosives safety regulations, environmental laws, and risk management practices.
    • Relevant safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, Mine Safety, or other industry-specific certifications).
    • Deep knowledge in Warehouse and Store Management.
