Logistics Superintendent at Reliable Steel & Plastic Ind. Ltd.

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Summary

The Superintendent Logistics is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all logistics, transportation, and distribution activities within the organization. The role ensures timely delivery of materials and finished goods, efficient fleet management, proper inventory movement, and compliance with company policies and safety standards. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills to support smooth operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily logistics and transportation operations. 
• Coordinate movement of raw materials, finished goods, and other supplies. 
• Ensure timely dispatch and delivery of products to customers and branches. 
• Monitor fleet operations, vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules. 
• Maintain accurate logistics, inventory, and transportation records. 
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and transportation regulations. 
• Track deliveries and resolve logistics-related issues promptly. 
• Prepare logistics reports, performance analysis, and operational updates. 
• Supervise logistics personnel, drivers, loaders, and transport coordinators. 
• Monitor third-party transporters and vendors for service quality and cost efficiency. 
• Implement strategies to reduce logistics costs and improve operational efficiency. 
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials to minimize damages and losses. 
• Conduct periodic inspections of vehicles, loading areas, and logistics facilities. 

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Logistics Transport Management, Industrial Management, or related field. 

Experience

• Minimum of 3–5 years proven experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse, or supply chain operations. 
• Experience in manufacturing is an added advantage.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
