Job Summary

The Logistics Officer will coordinate shipments, oversee inventory, and ensure that all operations comply with quality standards, safety regulations, and the company’s policies.

Job Details

• Plan and manage the movement of goods and materials within the supply chain, ensuring timely deliveries.
• Coordinate and monitor inbound and outbound shipments, including liaising with suppliers, manufacturers, and transport companies.
• Optimize logistics processes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
• Ensure suppliers comply with company requirements and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of shipments, inventory, and warehouse activities.
• Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations, health and safety guidelines, and company policies.
• Prepare shipping documents, invoices, and customs paperwork.
• Work closely with other departments such as procurement, warehouse, and finance to coordinate logistics efforts.
• Resolve any logistics-related issues, including delays, damaged goods, or inventory shortages.
• Generate and analyze reports on logistics performance, costs, and operational metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in logistics management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of transportation and inventory management principles.
• Understanding of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
