Logistics Officer at Ascentech Services Limited

Job Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise/monitor the inward and outward transport arrangements for all goods
• Monitor Transporter/Contractor contracts, deals, terms and relations
• Supervise loading, unloading and checking of goods
• Supervise loading, unloading, movement of goods and vehicles
•   Manage Transporters, Drivers, Loaders and other logistics staff on ground and in office
• Liaise with other teams for an efficient co-ordination in logistics
• Ensure liaising with Finance for timely payment and reconciliation
• Ensure proper Insurance coverage for goods in movement and store
• Negotiate with Vendors for better rates, service terms and delivery
• Draft and review Vendor contracts
• Maintain valid list of Logistical supports
• Ensure prompt response in case of emergency logistical requirements
• Liaise with other Departments to assess the requirements and plan accordingly
• Ensure compliance of processes and procedure
• Regular reporting and Exception reporting to keep the management posted

Requirements

• 3-4years proven work experience in a manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of Import/ export documentation, Local laws, shipment processes and procedures
• Knowledge of customs, VAT, local and foreign trade policies & procedures
