Logistics Manager (Warehouse) at Verstand Resources Limited

Location: Sagamu, Ogun State (Factory-based)

Job Purpose

The Logistics Manager will oversee and optimize all warehouse operations, inventory management, and inbound/outbound logistics at our Sagamu factory. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless supply chain workflows, maintain rigorous inventory accuracy, and lead the warehouse team to achieve high operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Warehouse Operations: Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, distribution, and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods.
• Inventory Control: Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems to ensure 100% accuracy, conduct regular stock counts, and minimize variance/shrinkage.
• Logistics & Distribution: Coordinate fleet management, dispatch schedules, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure timely delivery to distributors and clients.
• Space Optimization: Strategically manage warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.
• Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff, supervisors, and loaders, fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure strict adherence to factory safety standards, health regulations, and company policies within the warehouse premises.
• Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on warehouse KPIs, logistics costs, and inventory status to senior management.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 6–7 years of proven experience in warehouse and logistics management, preferably within a manufacturing or large-scale factory environment.
• Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
• Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and people management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Willingness to relocate to or reside in Sagamu (Factory accommodation provided).
