Locum - Lab Technician at Eastern & Western Hospital

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Locum - Lab Technician to join our team at Eastern Western Hospital. The successful candidate will conduct laboratory tests, analyze results, and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct laboratory tests: Perform various laboratory tests, including blood tests, urine tests, and other diagnostic tests.
• Analyze results: Analyze test results, identify abnormalities, and report findings to healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate records: Maintain accurate and detailed records of test results, patient information, and laboratory procedures.
• Operate laboratory equipment*: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including microscopes, centrifuges, and analyzers.
• Follow safety protocol: Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with healthcare team: Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely test results.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology: A diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institution.
• Registration or certification: Registration or certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician from a recognized professional organization.
• 2+ years of experience: At least 2 years of experience working as a Lab Technician in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
