Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of Legal to provide strategic legal guidance to our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, managing legal risks, and providing expert advice on all legal matters affecting the company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B) and a valid call to the Nigerian Bar
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a law firm or in-house legal role
• Proven experience in real estate law, contract law, and corporate law
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong leadership and team management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic legal advice to the management team and board of directors
• Develop and implement legal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage and oversee all legal matters, including contracts, disputes, and regulatory issues related to real estate transactions, property acquisitions, and disposals
• Collaborate with other departments to identify and mitigate legal risks
• Develop and maintain relationships with external lawyers, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with Nigerian laws and regulations, including property laws, land use regulations, and other relevant legislation
